I would expect a trash can that is nearing the $75-100 range to last more than 2 years. My trash can top is crazy, goes up and stays up and won't go down! The company gave me a list of crazy steps to do to reset the sensor, which I did and TWICE at their request and nothing. So now I have a trash can that doesn't close. I have tried to work this out with itouchless and it is like they don't care. They just keep giving me a run around. Horrible product and even worse customer service. Would never recommend this trash can or for that matter any product in their line. They do NOT stand behind their merchandise. I am a mom with a full time job, the last thing I have time to do is reset my trash can - which was a six hour process in total and then keep emailing the company basically begging them to just help me out with a new trash can top that works(which probably costs them $5 at the end of the day). I work in wholesale too, I sell consumer goods and I am proud to say my company has stellar customer service and strive daily to make our customers happy - unlike itouchless.
