If the storm troopers are notorious for missing their targets then this is the bug zapper version of them. It MIGHT (and most of the time it does) stun the bugs you're trying to kill. The electric grid gap is to far apart for the bugs to really get zapped (I've had flys "walk" between the vertical strips and not get zapped. The 2800 volts is obviously inadequate to kill the bugs, it merely stuns them for a few, sometimes they'll fly right back into the grid a few times and will finally die but don't count on it. I'll post some videos of a few flies that got zapped but some how managed to survive 2,800 volts. As for mosquitoes good luck, I've still have a few flying around. Overall if the flies manage to fly into a second (or third or fifth) time they will die (for the most part). The blue light does kind of seem to attract them but only if it' the brightest light source. At best I'd give it 1.5 to 2 stars overall.
