I just got my fryer today and the first thing I tried was to fry eggs in a small pan . I have the smaller Power Air Fryer XL and I like it fine - I thought this unit would work better . In the other fryer, I can put a couple of eggs in and it fries them up in 5 minutes - nice and toasted around the edges. This unit didn't come close to cooking the eggs in 5 minutes and after a couple more minutes - the eggs were hard and rubbery and not browned or toasted at all - nasty ! I clicked the Amazon link to return and it looks like it is going to cost a bunch of money to return it . Probably close to $ 50 . WHAT A RIP OFF ! The smaller fryer heats up really fast and doesn't radiate or blow very much heat away - this unit blows A LOT of heat out the bottom and heats up the whole area - after several minutes it still was not heated to 350 degrees A lot of wasted heat and takes forever to get to 400 degrees . I am going to contact the company and complain - I shouldn't have to pay for a defective item that is not heating up properly on the first try - If it can't even fry an egg then I know it won't work for anything else .
