I ordered this vacuum in mid-October 2015 based on the price and the decent charge and run time (approximately 20 minutes for a full charge of approximately 4 hours) compared to other cordless vacuums such as Dyson and Hoover. I used the vacuum about twice a week and it was working fine until a week ago (1st weekend of January 2016) when the battery only lasted about 5-10 minutes. I did not think much of it and figured the charger might have come loose during charging. I made sure to double check that the plug was in properly after that incident. The next time I went to use the vacuum the same thing happened. This is after charging the vacuum for about 24 hours. This time the battery lasted about 5 minutes. I then used a separate outlet to charge the vacuum in case there was an issue with the outlet rather than the charger or battery. After charging the vacuum overnight, I had the same issue with the battery lasting only about 5 minutes. I regularly clean the brush roll and empty the dust canister, so I do not believe those are contributing factors. After only 2 and ½ months use, I would never have expected the battery to die like it did. I'm not sure if there is a warranty on this item but it is no longer eligible to be returned or exchanged under Amazon's return policy of 30 days.
