I've had this only 3-4 weeks and it's worked fine enough but I just heard a sizzling noise coming from it after I put my mug on it. The sound came and went over a few minutes and then got real noticeable and I smelled a burned plastic smell. I unplugged it and will throw it away once it cools. Don't buy this! Edit- Change of plans, instead of just throwing it away I opened it up and see what happened, lots of cracking to the wires, this is CRAZY UNSAFE! Avoid at all costs. No excuse to be like this, especially after a few weeks of use.
