BUYER BEWARE SAFETY HAZARD TO CONTROL GAS WHEN PLASTIC KNOBS CRACK!!!
I would give this range no stars, except it is beautiful to look at. Don't plan to cook on it for long without throwing parts at it to keep it functional. I've owned this range for a year. The knobs are thin walled brittle plastic then chrome plated and crack easily away from the pretty stainless housing leaving them useless. The first set of knobs were breaking away from the metal heavy weight where the screws attach, then next set crack in the center where the knobs slide onto the gas valve controls. I've replaced the entire set of knobs twice within a year. Also, if you wash them in the dishwasher, the screws rust. Cheap!!
Samsung denies that there is "any defect" although they admit there are a lot of requests for replacement knobs. Seriously?! Once the knobs crack, it's virtually impossible to control the gas as the metal insert spins around inside. Keep a pair of pliers handy to turn off the gas once all of your knobs crack and you want to cook or turn off your gas.
Samsung Customer Service is a literal joke. They're argumentative, long hold times, switching from one department to the next, etc. Good luck with product support, as well.
