updated review after a month of use...
Nice made in America. Seems durable. However I’m not sure what all the hype is on the other reviews unless I didn’t get the same thing they did. There are so many people that were excited about this toilet seat. We’ve never paid more than like $10 for a seat so after finding a website talking about how great this one was, we decided to buy 2 and be done with needing to replace cheap seats. I was excited about the new sears but then once they got here and hubby installed, I was wondering what was making them so special to other reviewers. It is solid and has a neat system for installing and looks like cleaning will be a bit easier, but it doesn’t look or feel really any different than any other plastic seat. We got the line/buscuit color. I’m wondering if maybe we didn’t get the same model as these other people? I was expecting to be totally wow’ed but I wasn’t :(
But, it’s a nice toilet seat. Was easy to install. So I guess it’s doing its job!
Updated after a month of use: I took off some stars. Was so excited to buy these based on everyone else’s reviews. I can’t tell you much about one because that one is in a bathroom I hardly use but the one we put in our master bathroom shifts around more than any other seat we’ve ever tried to use. My husband read the instructions and installed these exactly as described as tight as they’d go. But our seat shifts around a lot. The plastic parts are already kind of stripped from him needing to tighten them so often. I could’ve bought 3 of our regular toilet seats for the cost of one of these. I am not impressed at all. I feel like these nice and shift more than the cheaper ones ever have. I also didn’t have that first impression of this great quality heavy duty plastic that other reviewers mentioned. Did we get bad ones?
