Very Disappointing -- Contains Toxic Additives Not Listed in Amazon Product Description
I was so excited for this product. Based on the listing, it appeared to offer a superior and lower cost ketone salt formulation compared to competing brands. I carefully inspected the ingredient label and ingredient list on the product description page and determined this was compatible with my fairly clean diet standards. When I received the actual product, the label revealed that it contains a number of questionable additives not previously disclosed by the seller. These include: Sucralose (Splenda), which disrupts the microbiome Acesulfame Potassium - can cause DNA damage and is stressful for the kidneys (particularly concerning for those in ketosis, which already puts additional strain on the kidneys) Polyethylene Glycol - can also cause damage, though probably not of immense concern at this dosage. Carageenan - May cause stomach cancer Red 40 - a totally unnecessary food coloring banned in Europe due to potential neurological concerns. Tends to exacerbate ADHD symptoms. Dairy - Definitely not toxic, but a common allergen. My mind is blown that this was not mentioned in their ingredient list. I believe companies should be able to sell whatever they want, but the fact that these ingredients were explicitly withheld from the listing seems dishonest. It may also be potentially dangerous for people with certain allergies/sensitivities. I tried reaching out directly to the seller before posting this review but could not find the "ask a question" contact link on their seller profile per Amazon's instructions for contacting third party sellers. I really wanted to love this product, but was deeply disappointed by the either grossly negligent or deliberately dishonest marketing.
