a waste of time and money
A rental property had a mold proplem in the bath where a tenant had let a hot water heater leak for six months without telling me there was a problem. After repairs and cleaning I bought another brand kit at Lowe's to test with, then the next day decided to get one for my own home, which I got at Home Depot because it's the store I was at next. That was the Mold Armor Mold Test Kit. I mailed them off the same day from the same post office. The other kit came back 3-4 weeks later with simple language "No unusual levels". The Mold Armor Mold Test Kit results didn't come back so after about six weeks so I called and spoke with someone who said he couldn't find me in the database, maybe it was lost in the mail. After a few more weeks I checked and the money order (the only form of payment they accept) had been cashed promptly so I called again. This time they found me in the database and emailed me the results. But the results talked about how awful mold is, no clear language telling me if there were problem levels or not. A few more emails resulted in no help. Altogether I wasted about $50 with the cost of the kit and the lab fee to use the Mold Armor Mold Test Kit.
