Pad easily slips on top causing the metal frame to contact the vehicle. Caused a quarter size deep paint chip on the top of the trunk. Not worth the risk unless you never expect to hit a speed bump or turn your vehicle. Save up some money and invest in a rack with a better design! Why not have foam running the whole length of the top rack???
