Seat Discolored After Cleaning
The seat seemed great until purple discoloration appeared on the seat after cleaning. First it happened with Lysol spray, and then it happened again with Clorox wipes. I reread the product description on Amazon and saw they recommend using mild soap and water to clean it.
Who has time to prepare a mild soap and water solution just to clean a toilet seat?? When I pay over $40 for a toilet seat, I don't expect common household cleaning products to discolor it! I have successfully use Lysol and Clorox products on toilet seats (and countless other surfaces) for years, and this is the first time I've had a problem. I am very disappointed in this product and wish I had just purchased the Bemis brand seat we have on our other toilet.
The discoloration is difficult to see in the photo, so I circled the area where it is most prominent. For reference, the seat I purchased was listed as: MAYFAIR 188SLOW 000 NextStep2 Toilet Seat with Built-In Potty Training Seat, Slow-Close, Removable that will Never Loosen, ELONGATED, White.
