No, I've not read it, I can't comment on whatever quality it may or may not possess. I can, however, give Ms. Shepherd a taste of her own medicine. She published a confounding, maddeningly wrongheaded "Plea" to JK Rowling on the Huffington Post, advising Ms. Rowling to stop writing "Grown-up books" and go back to writing Young Adult fiction. Bear in mind that she did no actual research for this, and proudly claims in the very first paragraph to have never read a single word of Rowling's work. This is an abomination. I don't know about Shepherd, but I was told to research my topic and know exactly what I was talking about before I wrote a single word of ANY essay I chose to write. I was taught this in the 6th Grade (Mrs. Boson's class, '97-'98). She is actively bringing down the entire institution of writing with her asininity. Hilariously, much moreso than what she's criticizing in JK Rowling. She only had to read a bit of ONE JK Rowling book to have at least SOME kind of legitimacy, but I guess that would've been too much trouble. Any writer, nay, any artist...nay, any professional of any sort is doomed if they can't take the time to know what the hell they're talking about. End rant.
