Made very well, but not a miracle fix
I adopted a 50lb boxer/pit mix and after 8 months of trying to train her on a leash with a regular slip collar or harness I decided my hands and arms needed some thing to keep her from pulling so hard. Growing up we used a halti on my malamute and it worked well so i decided I would give it a whirl with this pup. I researched and went with this halti because my husband was already worried about all the leashes and collars and harnesses we had been trying and all the money going to things that were not working. The price was great and it has great reviews. After using it for about 2 weeks I'd have to say it hasn't stopped the pulling 100% and she doesn't walk like the dog on the package but the pulling has slowed down and it is making training easier. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the the clasp under the muzzle that tightens that strap never stays where I adjust it too. By the end of the walk the clasp is back at the bottom not snug around the muzzle. Maybe it's because my dog pulls too hard, but I liked the old halti I had for my previous dog and had a ring instead of a clasp that would tighten when the dog pulled and loosen when it the dog was walking properly. I'm no expert at dog training by any means but that clasp is very frustrating to me. Other than that it has saved my arms from being yanked out and has helped me be more patient on walks with my pup. I like the padded strap over the muzzle even if my dog pulls so hard it twists some times at least it is padded and not rubbing on her muzzle. And overall it's made with good strong material, minus the clasp in my opinion. Obviously you need to be sure to continue training but it has made our walks much much better. Overall a good buy and I would buy one again probably.
Update 8/10/2016
The plastic clasp broke today on our walk. I went to adjust it on my dog after putting it on and the plastic broke. Which makes me very upset and now I don't think I'll buy this one again. I'd recommend a halti with a metal ring under the muzzle rather than a cheap plastic adjustment piece. I'm rather disappointed.
