I purchased this item from Alliance Chemical 2 weeks ago for $40 which was high then. They are now charging $55 - outrageous. If you are thinking about using this to make hand sanitizer with aloe vera - don't. "Technical Grade" means it likely contains impurities, including heavy metals and is NOT recommended for use on skin, even diluted for hand sanitizer, which is not clear on the Amazon site. It is intended for for industrial use, cleaning, etc. I planned to return the gallon I received until I found out I would be responsible for approximately $30 return shipping charges AND the company will charge a 30% "restocking fee" when the item is returned. Would not recommend doing business with Alliance Chemical.
