Oven rack unstable. Burned my fingers many times.
This item is not safe. It was priced moderately (not the cheapest) and made in America by GE, but don’t buy it. I’m sure it wasn’t made in the USA.
When roasting chicken breasts, liquid collects in the pan. Using an instant read thermometer, I pulled the rack out just far enough to read the temperature and to my horror the rack and Pyrex pan dropped off the glides. I was lucky the hot juice, 450 degrees, didn’t spill over me, just my hand was burned.
