At first I loved its ability to collapse for storage, how it popped all the kernels, and made single servings possible. However, after popping I poured salt and butter on the popcorn in the bowl. Then I made the mistake of not cleaning the popper adequately before adding kernels to pop another serving. The reaction of my microwave was truly frightening ; this caused a loud noice and an actual fire and I rushed to turn off the microwave thinking I had ruined my microwave. However, the microwave continued to function well with other products, so I decided to wash the popper again and to try to use it once more. Even with a thoroughly cleaned popper, the fireworks started again. I will never use this bowl for popping corn again and have warned my family against using it. It is a safety hazard when used for popping corn ever since my initial mistake.
