I’m a NICU nurse and very familiar with nasal suction when it comes to babies. I made it 8 months with the NoseFrida, including RSV and several bouts of colds. But the NoseFrida is limited in suction power and when my baby is very congested I just can’t get much out. so I decided to look for something electronic for more suction power. I’m used to hospital grade suction so I honestly wasn’t expecting much from this product. While it does seem to have decent suction, all I could get out was the very runny stuff. Then I would use the NoseFrida immediately after and get a lot more thicker gunk out. I tried many times, with all three applicator tips and had the same result. I don’t know if it is because the holes on the applicator tips are too small, or if I just can’t get a good seal, but the shape of the NoseFrida tip just seems to work better. I wish there was a way to put that shape and size tip on this device because it would be a winning combo. I’m planning to upgrade to the NozeBot or BabySmile, which are about 3 times the cost but will probably last longer and work much better.
