This is made in China and is not a true 2 inches in the top to bottom dimension. It measures at 2.125 and WILL NOT fit in the 2" receiver of my 2012 Toyota 4runner. I returned this for an exchange and the second one is exactly the same. I considered grinding it down, but after reading another reviewers experience with this process, I will return it for a refund and stay clear of Smittybilt products. The pictures show a smooth, machine-like product. It is cast and ground, poorly at that. To Amazon's credit, they made returning the first one easy. Unfortunately, I'll be taking advantage of that service again.
