this was really cute, i gave it as a christmas gift and the recipient really loved it. he had it for about a year, texted me a couple weeks ago with the attached picture. he was baking and these oven mitts were hanging on the wall with the rest of his mitts. not touching the oven or even in the range of heat. the one mitt suddenly combusted and he had to extinguish the flames. Luckily he was able to put it out before any damage was caused. sucks because otherwise they were really cute and made a perfect gift.
