I have now tried this RAVPower 3rd Gen Deluxe 15000mAh External Battery Portable Dual USB Charger unit. It does not work for me. The description claims support for iPhone 5. First I fully charged the RAVPower unit per supplied instructions. Next I connected my iPhone 5 to be charged. The charging started OK. But I could never get the RAVPower unit to finish the charge. I kept trying. Each time the RAVPower unit would start to charge my iPhone 5 and each time after just a few minutes the RAVPower unit would abort the charge well before the charging was complete. I have returned this unit for a full refund. I plan to purchase no more of this unit. ___________________ Update: 23-Mar-2015. The nice folks at RAVPower contacted me at home by phone - even though I already returned my unit to Amazon for full refund. RAVPower felt the problem might be with my Iphone 5. They offered to send me at no charge this same RAVPower unit to try again. They also thought perhaps the problem was my Apple OEM Lightning cable so they sent their version of such a cable along for free as well. I received both these free-to-me items rather promptly. First I charged this second RAVPower unit up fully. Then using the RAVPower-supplied non-Apple Lightning cable they supplied I connected my iPhone 5 up for a charge. Same result. The charging starts but never finishes by itself. I have to intervene myself and start the charge again to keep things going. [For reference, I never have a problem when charging with my Apple OEM wall charger.] So a few days later, I hear back again from RAVPower. They call me at home. I explain to them what I describe above. They feel the problem is with my iPhone. They encourage me to drop by my local Apple store to get my phone checked out. I say I don't know when I will do that but I will keep it in mind. With some polite insistence, they encourage me to delete this review. I say I will be deciding about that. For now, I feel it is important to share this whole story as I have just done. Clearly, RAVPower is serious about their products and goes the extra ten miles to make their customers happy. A good thing. I respect them for that. But for me, I don't know that I am willing to invest more of my time in all this. RAVPower has not yet asked for their charger back. So I guess we are all done here.
