Received my CFX-55IM in July, and detected a problem with voltage backfeeding through the male DC plug. When I contacts Dometic Customer Service, they admitted that a safety circuit might fail in the AC/DC power control circuit causing 28V to back feed into your 12V vehicle system if using the dual AC/DC capability (ie. plugged into AC as primary and DC as back-up when AC shuts off). Dometic's "recall" consists of putting a sticker on the unit telling the user not to use the feature, rather than repairing the units. The older CFX units allowed you to plug into both AC and DC in this manner, and units manufactured prior to November 2019 apparently do not have this problem. They are not offering replacement units, nor to repair defective units, they are only asking existing customers to apply a sticker to the defective unit so they can avoid legal liability. Your only other choice is to return the unit for a refund and go elsewhere to buy from a competitor. Dometic does NOT stand behind their products! Do not buy from them!
