I've tried this litter for a couple of weeks because it's the #1 rated cat litter on Amazon. At first I was really happy because it did seem to be truly dust free and fragrance free; however, after just a day, the litter reeks of ammonia. Nothing's wrong with my cat, he just had his physical and is perfectly fine. The litter just traps in that urine/ammonia smell and it just doesn't come out of the litter even though I clean the boxes out every day. You can smell the litter boxes all over the house, which has upset both my family and my cat. My cat is so distraught about the ammonia smell that he is looking for other places to go to the bathroom outside of the litter box. So I completely cleaned out the litter boxes tonight and replaced the litter with a different brand and will continue my search for the perfect dust free/fragrance free/odor eliminator cat litter. UPDATE: I've been trying out different brands of litter for the past couple of months and have found a couple that the cats and I can live with. "Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal" is the winner. It is the consistency of soft sand and doesn't create any dust. It also clumps nicely. It is ever so slightly scented, but isn't perfumey enough to be a problem. The "Fresh Home" version (blue band across the bottom of the box) has a slight pine scent. The "Multi-Cat" version (maroon band across the bottom of the box) has a slight clean (bubblegum maybe?) scent. I prefer the "Multi-Cat" scent over the "Fresh Home" but neither scent is strong enough to be a problem for me and give me headaches. A bonus to this litter is that I've found it at both Target and the grocery store, so I don't have to go to a pet store or order it online. The runner up was "Tidy Cat Instant Action". It is the consistency of traditional gravel litter and it did not have a fragrance. It had a little dust at first, but it wore off pretty quick and it clumped nicely. The worst litters I tried were "Arm & Hammer Multi-Cat Extra Strength Clumping Litter Unscented" (had to toss it after a day or two because of the ammonia smell) and "Ever Clean Extra Strength Unscented" because it boasts of being fragrance free and dust free and is overwhelmingly full of perfume and dust.
