I just got a puppy and needed a place to deposit tied up waste bags. We left it on our patio in the middle of winter next to our sliding glass dooor and emptied the container every trash day which was once a week. After about 2 weeks we noticed the container seemed to be holding in the smell. It only got worst as time went on. To the point we where holding our breaths to make a deposit. The smell would even follow you in to the house making any person unfortunate enough to be near gag. The smell was enough to knock someone unconscious. We tried everything scented bags in the container, scented waste bags, more frequently empty the container and changing the bags it should have smelled like a flower but unfortunately the smell could still induce vomiting. The seal could keep the smells in the container but once opened stand back or welcome death. We kept it for about 2 months but couldn't stand opening it any longer and threw the whole thing out. This was such disappointment since we still need a place to but the waste bags till trash day and with summer coming we need something to keep the flies away, but grateful this didn't happen in the middle of summer. I could only imagine the how horrible the smell would have been in heat.
