I wanted to like this, my first book by Heather Boyd, really, I did. Nowhere in the synopsis of the book did it say it was full of sex scene after sex scene. At the bottom of the description, it reads "A regency historical romance novel." Boy, was I fooled. I am truly tired of "Regency Romance" novels that don't conform to the morés of the period. Not only do the hero and heroine have sex throughout without being married, so do his sister and her love interest. That's four people having sex over and over and over. The plot had some interesting possibilities that ended up going nowhere, apparently so the author could copy/paste another six-page sex scene in. Really, it's time for Regency Romances to be stay true to the Regency period. This is my favorite genre, but it is quickly getting very old.
