Examining the exploded view of my oven, I only saw this housing; no bulb. So, contacted GE. They told me yup, you need to replace the whole housing. So, ordered one. Then, after removing mine w/ great difficulty (it's up in the top corner, and the wires have about 1" of slack, so incredibly hard to remove; harder still to plug in the new one), I examined the housing & saw that, sure enough, the front glass cover comes off w/ a slight counter-clockwise twist, to reveal a standard 40W appliance bulb. Just go to your local DIY store & buy this (you might want to remove the existing one to compare) and save yourself several bucks as well as an hour of headache!
