Do not purchase this item from Amazon. I trusted them way too much having purchased way too much every day for years. My fault. Walmart definitely has an opportunity here. First I purchased the expert assembly option and it wasn’t honored. When I called the 1st time, the rep told me it was my fault and I didn’t actually purchase it so I could get expert installation if I purchased it. Wow. Ok even though it is showing as purchased in my order history. Call number 2, the rep gave me a credit for the expert installation and told me to purchase it. Fine. So I go to purchase the installation. It isn’t available in my zip code! Well that explains a lot. Why didn’t anybody say that in the first place? Zero indication that was the case until I try to buy it. But I’m determined to grill by the weekend. So I get a handyman who I have to pay not with Amazon bucks to assemble it. When he gets the parts out of the sort of smooshed box, part is the grill are broken and cracked. You’ve got to be kidding me. With the first crack he says don’t worry about it, the crack and hole won’t impact operation of the grill. A few minutes later when he gets to the next broken piece, he stops and asks if it can be returned. Ugh! Call number 3 - the resolution is to send me a replacement grill and return the original. Okay.... next problem, I now need to break down the partially assembled grill and try to get it back in the box. Handyman who I had to pay of course is gone. Not working. Call number 4 - I call to tell them that I can’t disassemble it without damaging it more and it will not fit back into the box and styrofoam. The resolution is to just do my best. That is still not working. I just want to cancel the order altogether, return this thing and buy it from Ace Hardware, Home Depot or Walmart and learn my lesson that it was huge mistake to purchase from Amazon. Call number I’ve lost count - customer service tells me that they’ll give me $5 credit toward a $40 purchase of a new box to return this thing. I. Am. So. Done. Weber is a fantastic product and this is my 2nd grill in 15 years after my 1st one which was a wedding present finally gave out after tremendous service. I foolishly trusted Amazon to deliver and to be able to use their advertised free expert installation service (Prime Day offer). Maybe this waste of days of my life is some sort of payback from Amazon for too much use of my Prime Membership over the last decade??? Sorely and unexpectedly disappointed.
