This heater worked fine for the first few weeks, but then we started noticing a problem. The junction to the electrical outlet became very hot, to the point that it left smoke lines on the face of the electrical outlet. We moved it twice, thinking it could have been the outlet. The same thing happened each time, with the plug on the heater becoming dangerously hot. Upon unplugging it (for the last time) we noticed that it had melted a portion of the plugin cord on the heater. I do not recommend this product, and would recommend that potential buyers look closely at the safety record for this unit. As a note, other appliances that have been plugged into the same home electrical outlets have not resulted in near fire conditions, therefore I am left believing something is quite wrong with the heater we purchased.
