2nd Unit Returned. Horrible quality
First unit - rear audio output failed after 3 weeks. Spent 4 hours troubleshooting with different speakers and cable combiantions and then returned. When I contacted Gigabyte for support and gave them all my detailed troubleshooting steps that I already performed, they suggested turning off the computer, unplugging the speakers, turning it back on and plugging the speakers back in.
Second Unit wouldn't even POST using all the same known good components from the first one. POST codes varied each time from 94, 06, 38, 21, 9A. Tried a different and another known good GPU, reseated the CPU, reset CMOS, updated BIOS, nothing fixed it, just a wild range of POST codes. Must have got another bad board. In about 1 in 50 resets the BIOS screen would come up but the screen would be frozen - it wouldn't recognize any keyboard input. Spent 7 hours trying to get the second board to POST.
Exactly the same thing happened to me with a X570 Auros master motherboard. The audio failed and when I RMA'd it to NewEgg they said socket was damaged and I should RMA to Gigabyte instead.
I RMA'ed the board to Gigabyte and it arrived with additional damage by UPS. I filed a claim with UPS the same day and I asked Chuck Liu to keep the package so that UPS could inspect it. UPS turned up the next day but no one was at the RMA location so they left a note. Chuck Liu did nothing for a month then shipped it back to me without reaching out to me or UPS, despite me asking them to hang onto it for UPS to pick up. UPS have denied the claim because Chuck sent it back to me without the original packaging and they can't inspect it the way it arrived.
Lesson learned, Chuck Liu doesn't communicate to his customers and cause the UPS claims to be denied. $350 Gigabyte X570 Auros Master motherboard is in the trash bin.
Gigabyte also refuse to give out Chuck Liu's phone number so good luck trying to talk to him. They will only send you to his voice mail. He hides behind voice mail rather than talking to customers and stand behind his products. His whole department tried to protect him from talking with customers. Never buy Gigabyte again. ASUS provide far superior post sales support.
