These caps scratch your lens, not enough clearance between lens and cap (see images for proof).
Refer to images for reference and proof.
The depth of the interior of these Breakthrough lens caps is half of what Canon caps are.
The Breakthrough caps have an embossed description that makes it stick out even further.
So when you put the cap on your lens, the center of the inside had actually been rubbing against my lens the entire time bc there is not enough clearance between the lens and the cap.
Breakthrough, how do I go about getting a replacement lens?
This fact is indefensible, attached are images as proof.
I wish I would have spent the extra $4 for an OEM Canon Lens Cap.
How I discovered the problem:
I went to clean my lens and noticed this spot that would not go away. That's bc it was a small circular shape of scratches. I treat my gear with the utmost respect and I was trying to figure out this could've happened.
When I inspected the Breakthrough lens cap that had been used on my Canon 24-70mm 2.8ii since Feb 2018, the cause was discovered.
