I bought this as an extra power cable for my 15" MacBook Pro Touchbar. The CalDigital cable is definitely more sturdy than the OEM cable and one of the few cables right that are able to handle the 87watts of power (100w is the max) for my computer. The cable is a bit pricey but I'm confident it will last for the years to come. Updated (7/15/17). The connectors are made of cheap plastic and after 4 months they have begun to crack and become exposed (see attached photo). This is unacceptable for only 4 months of use. I've emailed Caldigit's support in June and followed up a week later but have not received a response.
