Not worth the savings, buy a Zebra instead.
Like several other reviewers say, this printer is just a waste of time. I bought it to save time, but after owning it just 4 days, I have spent more than 4 hours fighting it, including three separate calls to tech support.
It worked great for one day, then suddenly it would not print. Windows would no longer recognize the USB device. I called support and after way too long, including completely reinstalling the software, editing the registry, and generally doing a bunch of stuff that should not be necessary, we got it fixed... Only to find that while it would print files from it's own software, it would not print from Shipstation.
So now I spend another hour on the phone with the folks at Shipstation. Finally get it working after forcibly killing all the extra stuff Dymo has running in the background. Works great for another four labels, but now I am back to the exact same problem-- Windows will not even recognize the USB device. Another 20 minutes on the phone with Dymo support and I am still not printing.
All in all, this thing has just been a complete waste of time. For ~$60 more you can get the Zebra. Save yourself a lot of frustration and headaches and just go that way.
Edit: I decided to try the ROLLO Shipping Label Printer - Commercial Grade Direct Thermal High Speed Shipping Printer - Compatible with ShipStation, Etsy, eBay, Amazon - Barcode Printer - 4x6 Printer - Compare to Dymo 4XL instead of the Zebra, mainly because I have 1000 labels that I bought for the Dymo that would not work with the Zebra. I am really happy I risked it.
The Rollo is far faster than the Dymo, and I believe faster than the Zebra. And it just worked. Unlike the Dymo, it didn't install a bunch of useless software that I don't want and won't use and that will break the other software that I do need. And unlike the Dymo, that has stickers all over it saying that using 3rd party labels will void your warranty, the Rollo advertises that it works with any labels.
I just got it today, so it is possible my opinion will change, but right now I recommend it completely.
