I was very excited to get this Drone, after viewing the manufacturer's videos of it in action. Amazon, as always delivers as promised and I have nothing but positive things to say about Amazon.com. However, upon receiving the Drone, I was disappointed in the unit itself. Sure it's lightweight, but it's made of freakin' styrofoam! $300 for that?? So, I charged the battery (which took approx. 1.5 hours to charge) and headed outside. I synced and used my iPad as the controller and was impressed that the drone rose straight up on "take off" and hovered (yeah, don't take much to impress me!). I flew the unit for about 4 minutes total until the battery crapped out. So, back to the charger and having to wait again. All this for just a few minutes of flight? Put it in the air again and the battery crapped out minutes later. Twice while in flight, the unit would just stop and crash to the ground. Styrofoam does not like heights. I then noticed how the unit's video would turn ON on it's own without me pushing the record button. This caused additional drain on the battery. Again, it would activate on it's own without any activation by me. I also tried to connect my Android to the unit....it would not connect! I also noticed that every time you take the battery out, when you put the recharged battery back in the unit, you have to basically set the whole thing up again (ie: find the Wifi, connect, check settings, etc)! Again...all this for $300.00 and having to wait forever for the battery to charge so I can have it in the air for about 4 minutes?? I'm sorry, this drone is not worth $300.00. Maybe $150, but NOT $300.00. I am returning it to Amazon.com for a refund. I believe my unit is defective but I've seen enough to ask for a refund rather than another unit. I cannot in good conscious pay this much for something that the manufacturer's marketing and my actual experience varies so greatly. Coupled with poor battery life, video activating on it's own and sporadic crashes to the ground for no reason, I would not recommend this drone for anyone.
