I just received my sleep pod. It's literally worthless. Due to my build and weight, I was worried that even the large would be too small, as I'm on the upper end of the recommended size for it. Boy, was I wrong. It's like a tent. It feels like ill-fitting, stretched out socks- just ginormous. It offers no pressure or weight. I had such high hopes for this product. I love the deep pressure of a weighted blanket, but this for sure is NOT a replacement for that. You could easily fit 2 of me in there, and probably still not have the pressure feeling it advertises. If I stand up and try to wear it as a dress, it wouldn't even stay up, it falls down. Even after bringing 3 pillows inside of it, it does not do what it advertises. It doesn't even provide the same level of pressure as a pair of yoga pants or control top panty hose. I could achieve a tighter swaddle by laying a blanket down on the floor and rolling myself up like a burrito. I'm also disappointed with the hole for your feet. This was the design element I was waiting on before I ordered one- I need my feet to stick out. But there's only one small foot hole on the side of the bottom. It's not enough to get both feet out, at least not comfortably. Others have complained that theirs was much smaller than it should be, so maybe the company is struggling to provide consistent sizes? IDK. But I'm sending mine back. I'm not going to try to exchange it for a smaller size because having seen one in person now, I don't think it's made of strong enough material to give the kind of pressure needed for a therapeutic effect. The material they use is just too thin and doesn't give enough resistance. Like I mentioned above, it's not even as strong as the top of most (looser fitting) yoga pants or a maxi skirt. It's really weak. That probably helps with temperature control, but it makes the product pretty useless. 😞 I'm so bummed out. Hopefully the return process will be quick and easy.
