Let me start by saying initially I really liked this composter. We didn't have much trouble assembling it and took a reviewer's suggestion and spray painted the legs black. Our old composter was an upright model & you were supposed to periodically turn the compost over manually. After several years it fell apart, so we liked the idea of a tumbling composter and selected the Yimby. We've used it for 3 months and I am unhappy with it. It leaks and it smells really sour. Our old composter never smelled. I should mention I sprang for the enzyme powder to help break down the waste, so I don't know if that provoked the smell or not. But the worst part is the majority of the compost is stuck on the sides of the tumbler. To get it out I'm going to have to reach in there and scrape it out. UGH! YUCK! I wouldn't recommend it.
