Update: 10/26/2018 First, I must say that the authentic Japanese Shiseido Perfect Whip is wonderful! Now here is why I reduced my review from 5 stars to 1: When I first ordered this, I got the authentic Japanese one and gave the review below. I was about to use up my second tube, so I ordered two more. Then my skin started to break out horribly, was so dry and looked awful, even with makeup on. I couldn't figure out why, because nothing had changed! Then I realized that I had just started using the new tube of Perfect Whip I ordered. I took a look at the tube and it was Chinese! I trusted this was authentic and didn't even inspect the tube before using it, so I was infuriated! There's a little Japanese on the front, but the back is all Chinese under the English label. I guess it's the luck of the draw, which company will fulfill the order, but if you receive the Chinese one, do not use it and get a refund! Not only is it a waste of money, it's so harsh on your skin! As you will see in my original review, I hate harsh products, but I used bodywash on my face until I could get to the store and that was way better than this garbage! I immediately saw a difference and my face cleared up. I just grabbed a random face wash, so now my search for a good one begins again. I will not risk ordering this again. Original review of authentic Perfect Whip 6/22/2018: I grew up in Japan and spent most of my life there, so Japanese skincare was all I knew. They say the best way to wash your face is to use a foaming net to create a thick foam and gently wash your face with the foam. Never vigorously wash with your hands, because that creates friction and scratches your skin. Of course cleansing brushes are too rough too! Their products also have so many different benefits; moisturizing, plumping, brightening your complexion and so many more! Then I came back to the US. I had no idea I would have trouble finding face wash! I tried so many, but it seems that they're too harsh, such as scrubs or bar soaps, just a cleanser or they don't foam at all! I decided to check Amazon and found this. I knew about this while in Japan, but just never tried it and boy do I wish I had! It has a light pleasant scent and I put a tiny bit (pea-sized amount) on my foaming net and the foam was so rich and thick! Just like whipped cream! I can gently wash my face and my face was so smooth and plump afterwards! Just one wash made a huge difference! My foundation goes on better and I feel better about myself when I have no makeup on! I also use Japanese lotion (Japanese version of toner, but way better!) afterwards. I have normal skin, but moisturizing creams are too greasy for me. I'm so glad that Amazon carries these products! This is very affordable and I will continue to use this!
