Now that it's warm enough to work up a sweat typing a review, I figure it's a good time to review this comforter. My fiance and I have slept with this insert for several months and have been quite pleased with it. We live in the heart of Vermont where temperatures can drop into the -20s. This comforter handles the cold perfectly. It's warm enough, but not too warm... thankfully. Now in summer, it's still fine. My fiance is a hotbox and can't stand the heat, but this works for both of us. Build quality is good; No loose threads, stains. We didn't seem to acquire the same problems other reviewers have experienced. We washed it in a large washer at a laundromat with no issues. I've had other comforters that have lasted years, and I'm hopeful that this one will live the same life as it's predecessors. UPDATE 11/12/18: Unfortunately, this insert has NOT held up as well as I had hoped. After the first wash, the stitching started to fail and after several washes, the threading has come undone in several places. The insert itself has stayed together, but the stitching that holds the pockets of fill together is slowly undoing itself.... Unfortunate, but a prime example of "you get what you pay for." After many months of use, I can say it's worth the investment in a high quality insert. This one just doesn't hold up to daily use.
