Update: I was able to return the ramp without a cost penalty. Maybe you will like this ramp but I stand firm on my own review/impressions. TLDR: The WeatherTech ramp performance does not match the review ratings. Better to get the "PetSafe Solvit Deluxe Telescoping Pet Ramp" which is a better ramp in every way including the walking surface. The WeatherTech ramp is more costly, heavier, narrower and shorter than the PetSafe ramp. The surface on the WeatherTech can be slippery for wet paws not so the PetSafe. The WeatherTech stows by folding which is a lot less convenient than the telescoping PetSafe and the WeatherTech can easily pinch your fingers when folding (the PetSafe can't easily harm you). The WeatherTech has an inconvenient carrying notch with no lock/latch and will easily unfold at unwanted times when being carried. Yet it is hard to unfold entirely (takes considerable space) when you want to use it . The PetSafe locks and has an actual handle. Extending the PetSafe is quite easy/convenient compared to unfolding the WeatherTech. The greater WeatherTech weight doesn't help either (if you have an SUV full of dogs you want something quick/easy to deploy). The WeatherTech is larger when folded than is the PetSafe ramp. This matters because you have to carry it with you to get the dog out at the destination and again on the return trip so it requires more space. We have large Danes (+155LB) and have used these two ramps side-by-side, the WeatherTech flexes a lot more than the PetSafe. The extra flex can spook a large dog. The dogs are more willing to use the PetSafe than the WeatherTech. The WeatherTech on paper seems like a meritorious design but it is not. The PetSafe product is much better in every way. The return policy for the WeatherTech is also not that good, I suggest you not put yourself in position of having to return it. Do not buy this ramp.
