Would not recommend this product. I never write reviews but thought I should on this. The cost was higher than the other kettles but I loved the design and the fact that it was 18/8 stainless. I am not sure that it is 18/8 stainless since the bottom rusted the area that joins the handle to the body of the kettle rusted just after 6 months of light use. I contacted the company who would not respond after trying two times through Amazon and Amazon did not help with this 3rd party vendor.
