Hello. I think this product is probably great, and I wouldn't review it this way if they allowed me to return it. I understand that the filter adds minerals back, but that isn't preventing the damage to my health. I know this because I listen to my body and I put the two and two together to realize that this thing is a big hazard to my health. I got a bad cold about 10 days ago and I usually get over my colds VERY quickly. Now, this has been my only source of water and cooking for the past 3 months or so. I have been battling this cold for 10 days and it is not improving at all. I just couldn't understand why I have such a weak immune system all of the sudden. It suddenly hit me that the only thing that is different about my lifestyle is drinking RO water. I have always gotten over colds very quickly. It would last 5 days max. Never would I see almost no improvement in ten days. Body aches, extreme sinus pain, extreme congenstion. I have been trying to drink ALOT of water. Then today I started to feel like my heart was about to stop. I quickly drank unfiltered tap water and felt my heart return to normal almost instantly. I Do use additional minerals - trace minerals - in my water....What I learned about RO water through simple research is that the WOrld Health Organization warns against it, and that it not only has zero minerals, it also LEECHES minerals from your body, AND from the food you cook in it...Many people believe adding the minerals back does the trick, but it surely doesn't beat mother nature to me. I think I'll take the bad with the good, instead of no good at all. RO water is alsy very high in PH levels - which means it is very acidic. Acidic environment causes inflammation. I think adding minerals should be done to normal water too. I just don't think that adding minerals to RO water "reverses" the effect of mineral loss. Thanks and sorry.
