Don't upgrade to Electric Quilt 8, 7 is better product.
Electric Quilt 8 sucks! I have been a loyal user for many years, starting with Electric Quilt 4, Electric Quilt 8 turns the clock back on user friendliest, In Electric Quilt 7, if you want to know how to do something, you could go to the help menu and do a search, not any more, In electric quilt 8, the "help" menu only takes you the manual online, it is not searchable. For every previous release a hard copy manual was included, not any more you have to buy it for $35. Keyboard shortcuts that worked before no longer work! In many ways, the user interface has taken a giant step backwards, there are a couple of things that are easier, like changing dimensions of a grid when drawing a block. Do not buy this version of Electric Quilt. They still have not fix a bug that has existed since I started using Electric Quilt, if you delete a line from a block drawing after you have saved a coloring, it ignores the delete. Your only option is to redraw the block. At this time, I do not believe I will ever buy another electric quilt product.
