Spigen Doesn't Disappoint
This is the third Spigen case I have purchased (Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S5, and iPhone 6s) and Spigen keeps me coming back. The Tough Armor series of cases is well built, high quality, and budget friendly.
Pros:
+Excellent protection. I have a 2 year old toddler that plays with my phone and it gets dropped a lot. I also have butter fingers and drop my phone a lot (I actually broke my new iPhone 6s the day before my case arrived!) and I have dropped my phone in this case on tile and cement from chest height and the phone is absolutely fine and the case shows no signs of damage.
+The buttons on the sides of the case to control volume and power work well and press the buttons on the iPhone correctly every time.
+The cut outs for the ringer/vibrate switch, lightning cable, and earphones are all large and big enough to be easily used. The input slots are large enough to accommodate aftermarket lightning cables (I use Anker or Amazon Basics cables because they are half the cost) and my Sennheiser earphones.
+Price is fantastic compared to other "high protection" cases like OtterBox or LifeProof
+Very minimal increase to the thickness of the phone.
+No built in screen protector. The built in screen protectors become a source of problems as the case ages and the screen protector invariable starts to lift off the screen causing bubbling, distortion of the image, and making the screen less responsive. You can buy a tempered glass screen protector (Spigen makes these too and they are also fantastic) and they fit within the lips of the case. Tempered glass screen protectors absorb the blows of a drop that happens to hit the glass better than plastic ones, they don't distort the image (they are clearer and higher definition), they don't peel at the corners or lift as easily either.
+Looks excellent. I personally bought the Gunmetal case to pair with my Space Grey iPhone and it looks really good. The black on the front of the case match the black on the front of the screen and it looks like it should have shipped this way.
Cons:
-Does not come with a built in screen protector. This increases the cost because you have to buy a $6-$10 pack of screen protectors. I still feel this is more of a Pro than a Con, however, because the built in screen protectors are garbage.
-Not waterproof like Lifeproof cases
