This is a simple to learn easy to play card game for the family to enjoy together. My 5 year old enjoys playing this, and it's a nice game to play if you have young children playing, or need something to play with the grandparents. It's a nice alternative to Uno. However, the game is fairly simple, relies a lot on luck and less on strategy. What other people play rarely affects your turn. It's a nice game but if you're looking for something that requires "card sense" and skill, look elsewhere. Basically this is a game where you are trying to get your cards to have the lowest total possible, so moves are like "Do I take this face up card with a 5 on it, or hope the card face down on the top of the draw pile has a lower number?" For the younger kids, it reinforces taking turns and basic addition skills and feels like a "grown up" game. Our family enjoys playing it and I have given it as gifts. However, advanced gamers would want something more substantial.
