Seems to keep out moisture
Bought it to cover my 2018 Camaro convertible. Fits OK. Has a soft inner liner that seems to protect the paint. It does however leave some kind of lint or film on paint that easily washes off. No harm, no foul! However the car is stored under a carport so I'm not sure how it would be out in the direct sunlight and weather.
