Life-saver and good for beginers to test menstrual cup
I waited a few months before writing a review about my first menstrual cup. This cup is cheap and good for a beginner to try out if she'd like a mestrual cup or not. I honestly like the firmness and i know I would definately not like a very firm cup or softer one. It is a life saver for many reasons. I put it on when I have PMS and no longer worry about staining my underwear or staining towels on my heavy days. I now wear cloth pads only 3 days out of 5 days. I used to wear tampons and I hated leaving one in after peeing so its nice not having to change tampons every time I pee. The main reason why I bought a cup is that I was tired of the tampon hurting and drying my vagina on my light days. The best thing is I can leave in the cup pretty much all day on my pre-period and on my light days. This cup really helps me have a piece of mind. I used to be terrified of menstrual cups: like would it hurt, what if it leaked, or could not take it out or getting my fingers all bloody. I read many reviews and read all the horror stories and read how to insert one. I guess all those horror stories prepared me mentally. I have not suffered any leaks so far, I was abel to take it out easily the first time. Putting it in fast has been a challange but I think I have found a good way. Tip: not only twist it to see if it holds well. I like to run my finger around the cup to be sure it feels "inflated". This really bloodies my finder but at least I am sure no leak will happen. Sometimes pushing in against the cup from and all around helps open it. Also, if its fully open and you tug it down on the stem and it slides down, that means it is not sealed right due to discharge or blood. Take it out and wipe the rim with a paper towel dry. Re-insert it and do what you usually do to make sure there is a good seal.
