I have horrendous feet. Fallen arches (flat feet), severe over pronation, plantar fasciitis, toe joints deformed from arthritis, and other problems. I have a lot of foot pain. I buy the most supportive (and expensive) Brooks running shoes available and still I need custom orthotics AND Hapad inserts on top of them (dr recommended) to suppress the pain. Still, I have pain. I'm tired of the pain. I was considering a surgery that would require no weight bearing for two full months. Then I bought these Birkenstocks thinking they'd just be house slippers, something to reduce the pain as I putter round the house. But they put an end to my foot pain! I'm going to buy more Birkenstocks. A lot more. I will wear nothing else. And I'm not going to get surgery. I do not care what people think. I will wear socks with Birkenstocks in winter. I will wear Birkenstock sandals on my ugly feet whether I'm going to the store, to the beach, to church, to a concert, or to a funeral. I will not suffer unnecessary foot pain for fashion. I've done that for too long. Plus I truly like the look of these. No, I actually love these! I think they are completely cute. And my opinion is all that matters.
