Great headlamp with Misleading Info on both weight & lumens
Yes, it is capable of 360 lumens, but only for 30 seconds! That's not a 360 Lumen headlamp - it's a 190 Lumen lamp with short burst capability to 360 in "Turbo Mode" which steps down in 30 seconds to avoid overheating. And yes, the lamp weighs in at 1 oz. And if you want to tie it to your head with a light string you won't add much to that. But it's likely that you want to use the headband which adds another .9 oz. 53 grams total or 1.9 oz. That really should be made clear to the consumer wanting to know what they are getting.
That said - I don't think I could have chosen a better headlamp for lightweight backpacking. I have found the pattern of the beam to be just right for hiking after dark. Its 190 lumens is bright enough to have no trouble on the trail. At camp, the auxiliary white light casts a wider beam which provides helpful periphery light. It's a lower brightness, but adequate for cooking & camp chores. I use red light a lot to preserve night vision and the two bightness levels are very helpful. Lockout capability, flashing red light, and battery strength indication all add to the functionality.
While I really like this headlamp for lightweight backpacking I can't excuse misleading marketing. The information provided is truthful, but what you aren't told makes what they do say misleading. They should specify that 360 lumens is only for 30 sec bursts and the weight doubles with the headband. They have a great product, they should be clear about the specs.
