I'm a 73 yr old , single woman who recently had my garage broken into and ALL my tools stolen! I wasn't only looking for security but also peace of mind. The installation wasn't a few minutes (installs in minutes) and that will depend on your door frame. I had to chisel out the plate area (that installs on the door frame) and because I'm older it took me quite awhile, in fact I needed to take a break have lunch and a short rest. Back at the second plate (this went faster as I knew what I was doing) and the whole process took approximately 4 hours, however it looks great, fits great, is easy to remove and re engage and I would do it all again. If you are older, you CAN do it, just be patient and have a drink :)
