I purchased 3 of these and I'm generally satisfied after three small modifications to address common complaints: 1. The Gap I used thick white canvas type (like book binding tape) in the gap between the two sides of the door (think front & back of the door). This fit perfectly and matches my white doors. This fixed the annoying gap issue. 2. Noisy Swinging Cat Door (Rattles / Creaks) Wrap the pegs on the flap, which forms the joint in the hinge, with one layer of black electrical tape. This provides a very small resistance to the swing of the flap but completely reduces noise and rattle. 3. Annoying "Boing-oing-oing" sound from magnet Remove the magnet from the flap — gravity will hold the door in a closed position anyway. This removes the "boing-oing-oing" effect. Good luck, I hope my suggestion help anyone considering this door or anyone who already owns this door and experiences the same annoyances I did.
