95 and was very happy with them
hippox vs Iblast audio vs TREBLAB XR100 I originally purchased the TREBLAB XR100 to use because POWERBEATS were not staying charged long enough. I didn’t want to spend another $140.00 so I bought the TREBLAB XR100 for $39.95 and was very happy with them. I then saw the Iblast audio and it seemed to be a step up from the TREBLAB XR100 then I received a LIGHTNING DEAL on the hippox for $25 off, so I bought that one also. So by the time I was done I spent the $140 any way, my bad. I might as well help everyone else out and tell you what I found out. SIZE AND WEIGHT: Hippox, Iblast audio and the TREBLAB XR100 all weigh 20 grams or 0.7055 oz. All three are very similar in size and shape the only difference is the face plate on the hippox and the iblast audio have a raised center seam on the face plate and TREBLAB XR100 is flat. The on/off/Home button switch is differently shaped on the hippox and Iblast audio it is tear dropped and round on the TREBLAB XR100. All three have the same length cord which is approx. 21 ¾ in. SOUND QUALITY: I am very impressed with the sound quality of all three of these wireless headsets. I could not notice any difference in the sound quality between any of the three and my PowerBeats. They all produce great bass. The quality on voice calls is exceptional on all three. Clarity of voice on the other end was clear. WIND NOISE: I WILL UPDATE WHEN I HAVE HAD A CHANCE TO THOROUGHLY TEST IT UNDER WINDY CONDITIONS. CASE/CHARGING CORD: Hippox, Iblast audio and the TREBLAB XR100 all come with a carrying case, which are all very similar to one another. The difference is the TREBLAB XR100 was two-tone color (red zipper black case) as where the iblast audio and the TREBLAB XR100 are all black. All have a mesh holder on the inside of the case which is convenient. These are solid cases and a very nice bonus with the purchase of the headphones. All 3 came with a 12 inch charging cables and 3 different size Earbuds. The TREBLAB XR100 had 6 different Earbuds (3 different sizes and 2 different styles). PAIRING/BLUETOOTH: All come with an easy and straight forward pairing process. I have a Nexus 6P phone they all paired the first time in seconds, absolutely no problems. All demonstrated the same or very similar range on the Bluetooth. They all had an approximately 20 foot (line of sight) range before starting to breaking up. They all lost signal completely at 32 to 35 feet away (line of sight). Going around a corner lost signal quicker, reduced to approximately 10 feet away. But quite honestly how often are you going to leave your device 20 feet away? I verified that all three were able to connect to at least two devices at the same time. I connected to two different Nexus 6P’s at the same time. Notably, I was able to answer one phone, while listening to music from the other. The music stopped and when I finished the call the music resumed automatically. This was something I wasn’t ever able to accomplish with my PowerBeats. CHARGE TIME: WILL UPDATE IN A WEEK OR SO WHEN I HAVE HAD TIME TO TEST CHARGING AND PLAY TIME. TREBLAB XR100 first charge gave me about approx. 8 hours of music play at mostly high volume. I will continue to test the other two. PRICE: hippox $49.99 (I purchased the Hippox on Lightning Deal which was $25 off, my cost was $24.99) vs Iblast audio $49.01 vs TREBLAB XR100 at $39.95, compared to PowerBeats at $140. WORKOUTS: I WILL UPDATE THIS POST WHEN I HAVE HAD A CHANCE TO THOROUGHLY TEST IT UNDER A LONG RUN. I have not had a chance to test for running. At this point, I am a little afraid that the ear loop is not strong enough to keep the earbuds firmly in my ear on a long run. WATERPROOF/WATER RESISTANT: Hippox and the iblast audio both claim to be water proof, but the TREBLAB XR100 is only water resistant. Hippox, Iblast audio, TREBLAB XR100 PROS: Light Weight Very Good Sound Very Good Sound Canceling Easy to Pair Pairs to Multiple Devices at the Same Time Nice Case Price, Price, Price, Price VS PowerBeats CONs: Over the Ear Strap seems to be way too flimsy. BOTTOM LINE: First, I have not been paid for nor was I given any discounted price for this review. I did however get the hippox on Lightning Deal which was $25 off. I would not have bought this one for the original price of $49.99 that it sales for, only because I had already bought two others. It is my opinion that these all are made at the same place and are exactly the same unit just with different names put on them. The difference in the design of the face plate is probably due to older model verses newer model. With that said, all of these units are very much worth the money. The hippox had the nicest packaging and presentation however there was no mention of a warranty in any of the enclosed information (Buyer Beware). The TREBLAB XR100 was the best priced and came with 6 different earbuds, (most likely last year’s model) a 1 year warranty. The iblast audio had a 90 day replacement and 1 year warranty most concise instructions. I hope this helps you make your decision.
