Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

This was a gift for my wife for Christmas and its exactly what she wanted. I spent a few hours looking at mid-sized microwaves on Amazon.com. The time was consumed by reading the most current reviews. And since I don't know squat about microwaves my only option was to read "verified buyers" reviews on all the different models, makes, and brands of mid-sized microwaves. I narrowed it down to three based on the options that past reviewers liked that matched what I liked. Hopefully this will help the lost microwave buyer out there in Amazon land and save you the precious hours I spent on here looking and reading. First, I wanted what I call a mid size, 1.2 - 1.3 Cubic feet. Second, 1000 - 1100 watts. Third, an interior light. Fourth, a door handle rather than a door button that you push to open. Fifth, black exterior color. Sixth, it has the Smart Sensor. So, I narrowed my list down when I discovered by reading reviews some of the options that I would want too. Like an interior light for instance. You'd be amazed how many don't have lights inside. This whole process was time consuming as well, researching which of these mid-size microwaves had the options I wanted AND had the highest review ratings? I wrote down the top three makes that I liked which had the highest 5 star ratings. Two of the three microwaves I had listed were made by Farberware. (We don't own anything by Farberware. However, my mom owns a set of their pots and pans that she loves). My top three picks were very similar in options and size. This Farberware FMO13AHTBSE was Black Stainless and that was different plus it had at the time, 12/1/17, the highest five star rating and a very high four star rating. Combined the 4&5 ratings were like 92. For some reason the combined 4&5 star rating is like at 80. The whole research of reviews was crazy because some reviews under this particular microwave https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N5YALU9?ref=emc_b_5_t were for different Farberware models. Anyway, I pulled the trigger on it. The black stainless is awesome! Coincidentally, our little 900 watt microwave stopped working cold turkey on 12/23/17. The wife wanted to go out and buy one right away for preparing the Christmas Day dinner but I already had this one wrapped in Christmas paper ready to give to her on Christmas morning. I had to think up an excuse quick. And I did, lol. She was amazed to hear how I had this one already since December 1st. In closing, she loves the higher wattage and everything about this Farberware model.Farberware Black FMO13AHTBSE 1.3-Cubic-Foot 1100-Watt Microwave Oven with Smart Sensor Cooking, Stainless Steel. She is completely satisfied with it. I wish a few of the operating buttons were larger but that doesn't bother her. My hope is that it will provide years of good service to us.
